Just before the semester starts again, Rodet spent a few days examining specimens of Limia from the Dominican Republic. Many of the type specimens are in the fish collection of the Smithsonian and can only examined on site. Thanks to Lynne Parenti for hosting Rodet!
Fish are happily enjoying the summer, too. The plants in some of the tanks are blooming, and we have visitors!
The lab is scattered: Trai is still in Europe, Ingo just got back, and Rodet is in DC to study Limia specimens. Former lab member Elizabeth just had a paper from her Masters Thesis accepted in Ethology! Hurray!
July is a month for travel, conferences, adventures. Trai and Ingo presented their research at the Behaviour 2017 Conference in Estoril, Portugal. It was a great conference and we both learned a lot.
